On the occasion of International Women's Day, we asked female professors from the University of Thessaly to answer the question:
"Why is it important to empower women at the University of Thessaly?"
Inspired by the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Goal 5 on Gender Equality and Goal 10 on Reducing Inequalities, we aim to highlight the importance of equality, support, and opportunities for all.
We extend our gratitude to the Vice-Rector for Innovation, Internationalization, Partnerships, and Digital Governance of the University of Thessaly, Professor Chrysi Laspidou, as well as Professors Paraskevi Tsoutsa, Vaia Prassa, Christina Karatzaferri, Georgia Gemenetzi, Dorothea Kasiteropoulou, Eleni Lahana, Olga Gkourtzi, Maria Malliarou, and Eftychia Nathanael for their contribution.
Their voices serve as an inspiration for future generations and strengthen the position of women in education, research, and leadership.
