TheDepartment of Electrical and ComputerEngineering of the University of Thessaly (ECE), and specifically the CreativeTechnologiesLearning Lab (http://ctll.e-ce.uth.gr)researchgroup,participated in theorganizationof a summerschoolonmaterialsengineering addressed tohighereducationstudentsandheldattheTechnicalUniversityofLodzinPoland.Thesummerschooltook place on July 9 – 16, 2023.It wasattended by 12studentsand8mentorsfromEuropeanuniversities.
Thesummerschoolofferedrichactivities to participants through 10laboratorysessions.Theactivities of the summerschoolwerefacilitated by digitallearningservicesdesigned and developedbytheCreativeTechnologies Learning Labresearchteamforthebenefitofstudentsandfaculty.The digital servicesenhancedtheinteractivityof learning contributingtocollaboration, learning activity structuring, learning delivery, and access todigitallearningcontent.Thesummerschoolaswellas the digitallearningserviceswereimplemented in the framework of the researchprojectDigiMat:ExcellenceforDigitalEducationinMaterialsEngineeringfundedbytheErasmus+programoftheEuropeanCommission.Apart from the UniversityofThessaly, higher educationinstitutionsfromPoland,Estonia,and the CzechRepublicparticipateintheresearchproject.
