The School of Technology is one of the eight (8) Schools comprising the University of Thessaly. It was established by Law 4589/2019 (Official Government Gazette 13 /A’/ 29-01-2019). The School is located in Larissa and is housed at the former TEI of Thessaly premises.
The School consists of four Departments, operating since September 2019:
a) the Department of Energy Systems, located in Larissa, Greece, which provides a four-year undergraduate programme;
(b) the Department of the Environment, located in Larissa, Greece, which provides a four-year undergraduate programme;
c) the Department of Digital Systems, located in Larissa, Greece, which provides a four-year undergraduate programme;
d) the Department of Forestry, Wood Sciences and Design, located in Karditsa at the former TEI of Thessaly premises, which provides a five-year undergraduate programme.
Information on issues related to the educational activity of the School is provided by the Deanery and the Secretariats of the Departments.
Until the completion of the procedures for the establishment of the School governing bodies, the functions of these bodies shall be exercised by the Provisional Deanery appointed by decision of the University of Thessaly Senate, namely No 4479/19 / DG (Certification Authority: ORTF469B7X-041) under Law 4589/2019 (Official Government Gazette 13 / A’/ 29-01-2019).
Prof Pantoleon SKAYANNIS from the Department of Planning and Regional Development, School of Engineering, has been appointed Provisional Dean.
