What connects Space, Engineering, and the student passion for expanding knowledge? The answer lies in our student team—StarBound from the University of Thessaly.
Our team’s mission is to develop a research and educational center focused on aerospace, with the support of the IEEE student branch of our university.
Through projects, initiatives, workshops, and our presence on social media, we aim to spark interest in our field and contribute to shaping the next generation of scientists and engineers specializing in space.
Our primary goal at this stage is to participate in two international competitions (UAS Challenge and CASSINI) with an unmanned aircraft we will design and build ourselves. To achieve our projects, we have created sub-teams in the following areas: Electrical, Embedded Systems & Software (Programming), Mechanical, Finance, Marketing, and Activities. From the outset, we already count over 20 members from five university departments.
