School of Economics and Business Administration

The School of Economics and Business is one of the eight (8) Schools comprising the University of Thessaly. It was established by Law 4589/2019 (Official Government Gazette 13 /A’/ 29-01-2019). The School is located in Larissa and is housed at the former TEI of Thessaly premises.

The School consists of three Departments:

a) the Department of Economics which provides a four-year undergraduate programme in Volos, operating since 1999.

(b) Department of Business Administration which provides a four-year undergraduate programme in Larissa, operating since September 2019.

c) Department of Accounting and Finance which provides a four-year undergraduate programme in Larissa, operating since September 2019.

Information on issues related to the educational activity of the School is provided by the Deanery and the Secretariats of the Departments.

Until the completion of the procedures for the establishment of the School governing bodies, the functions of these bodies shall be exercised by the Provisional Deanery appointed by decision of the University of Thessaly Senate, namely No 4479/19 / DG (Certification Authority: ORTF469B7X-041) under Law 4589/2019 (Official Government Gazette 13 / A’ / 29-01-2019).

Dr Christos KOLLIAS, Professor at the Department of Economics, University of Thessaly, has been appointed Provisional Dean.
