Universal Competition of Educational Robotic Research and Innovation FIRST® LEGO® LEAGUE (FLL), "HYDRO DYNAMICS"

Have you ever wondered how we get the water we use in our everyday life? Whether it is to brush our teeth, to quench our thirst, to cook, or even to swim – everyone needs water! Does it come from the ground, from a river or from a lake? How can we be sure that it is safe to drink it, and what happens when it falls down the drain?

We will try to answer all these questions and even more along with the children but we will also learn about the amazing mechanisms used to protect the most valuable liquid good - water - in the context of the Universal Competition of Educational Robotic Research and Innovation FIRST® LEGO® LEAGUE (FLL), "HYDRO DYNAMICS", whose semi-final for the region of Thessaly and Central Greece will be exclusively organized by the University of Thessaly and the TALOS project team, on February 10 & 11, 2018 in Volos. At this important event, under the auspices of the President of the Republic for the school year 2017 -2018, and in which 80 more countries in the world will take place, the teams that will stand out will be able to represent their country in World Competitions in Europe, Asia and America.

The competition is for children aged 9 to 16, and has been designed to help them discover and love science and technology in the most experiential and playful way, by gaining confidence in their abilities and at the same time gaining valuable social and cognitive skills. This is the result of a collaboration between the Non-Profit Organization FIRST (R) ( For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) and the Education Sector of LEGO (R). Since 2013 it has also been organized in our country with great success by the non-profit organization eduACT (Action for Education).
