Participation of an Engineer in the iGEM Thessaly 2019 Team

This is happening! The first interdisciplinary team from the University of Thessaly will take part in the iGEM Synthetic Biology International Contest that is held in Boston in November 2019.
In the context of the International Genetically Engineered Machine (IGEM) competition, over 6,000 students of Science, Health Sciences, Engineering, and other fields not related to Bio-Sciences will flock from all over the world to Boston, to present their research projects and compete in the Giant Jamboree. The concept of the competition emerged during MIT's independent activity in 2003 and 2004 and is now the main program of the iGEM Foundation, an independent, nonprofit organization devoted to the advancement of Synthetic Biology and Education.
