'The Arrows of Volos' – Seeing a different city through a treasure hunt game
Responsible person: Assistant Professor K. Magos
Most students of Magnesia schools know and have probably visited the area called Ano Volos, but how many of them know the other face of Volos? The city of immigrants and refugees, of people with disabilities, homeless people, the Volos of minorities? This part of the city of Volos cannot be viewed while sitting on the cafes alongside the seafront nor can be accessed by the number 4 bus. However, it is still here, next to us, participating in all the aspects of life in the city, seeking ways to communicate, demanding, agonizing and struggling.
'The Arrows of Volos' is an interactive treasure hunt game aiming to  acquaint the pupils of the 4th,5th and 6th classes of Primary Schools with the minorities living in the city of Volos. It was developed as part of the course "Planning, organization and evaluation of intercultural action '(instructor prof. Kostas Magos) taught during the 8th semester in the Department of Early Childhood Education of the University of Thessaly. The game will be take place on Thursday 17.05.2018, from 09.00 to 3.00, at the Tsalapatas museum surrounding area and the students attending the aforementioned course will also participate in the event.
